Assets Per Page

How to control MEC’s assets and control CSS or JS files from being automatically loaded?

Best Answer

Using this feature you can have MEC’s assets under control. For example, if you do not use MEC shortcodes in the Contact Us page, you can enable this feature to prevent the CSS and JS files from being loaded on that page.

How to use it?

Go to MEC Settings > Assets Per Page and enable the check box.

This feature is automatically enabled in the pages that MEC creates by default, for example MEC Single Event Page, Category Archive Page, and Main Archive Page.

But if you have put a shortcode in a specific page in your website, you need to go to the page settings in the backend.

Look for the Include MEC Assets option. If you cannot find it, go to Screen Options or go to Options  > Performances. You can enable it from there.

By checking the box, the MEC assets will be loaded on that specific page.

Following this procedure, you can determine where the assets should be loaded. This can help you increase the load speed of your website.
